Origins
The Volcanic Badlands were once green country, lost when the mountain broke its ancient oath. The Ashborn are what rose from the scorched earth — Cinderhoof mounts bred of smoke and red eye, and Black Phantoms, the unfulfilled ghosts of those who perished ere warning could reach the keep.
Culture
No kinship, no language, no feast day. The Ashborn share only the Badlands and a grudge older than the present age. They drift or stampede by instinct; no overlord directeth them.
Combat Style
The Cinderhoof charge in hot blood and cobalt hide; their riders trample where they cannot gore. The Black Phantoms drift through steel and palisade alike, indifferent to mundane arms — only certain enchantments may pin them to account.
Relations
None. The Ashborn serve only their grief. Even the Bouldersworn avoid their path when they can.
Sigil
A drifting flame within a hollowed eye.
