The Sylvan
Also known as: Wood-Elves, The Folk of the Vales
faedefender
Nimble wood-elves of swift hand and keen eye, steadfast defenders of Kyrath's forested reaches.
Origins
Ere Kyrath was a kingdom, the Sylvan kept the old paths of the Sylvan Wilds. When the first keep was raised and the first pact struck, they pledged their arrows to the realm's defense — a bargain, it is said, witnessed only by the oldest of trees.
Culture
A folk of quiet speech and quick laughter, who measure wealth in feathered arrows rather than coin. They keep no castles, only glades and mossed stones. A Sylvan warden is counted ready the day she can loose three shafts in the time it takes a leaf to fall.
Combat Style
Loose arrows with haste at any foe who draweth near. Mobility and rate of fire over raw force.
Relations
Fond of the McClouds, though bemused by their bluster. Tolerant of the Forgewrights, so long as their smoke does not drift overfar. The Spriggans are their quarrel-kin — wayward cousins, too furious for their own good.
Sigil
A silver leaf upon a field of green.
